Lair of the Shadow Broker in particular is a must-have. Lair of the Shadow Broker is the most related to the main story, as it resolves mysteries introduced early in ME1 and ties into ME3 - plus you get a heavy dose of Liara, so if you're a fan of that character it's even better. ME2, in order from most to least recommended: It's all very subjective, obviously, but here's my opinion. Even if you have no other DLC you absolutely should get the Citadel DLC.

The best character interactions in the entire series and just a ton of emotions and fun. My absolute favourite DLC in in all of Mass Effect. Really great side story that lets you spend some time with Aria and also introduces a creepy and even slightly scary new enemy. Another top quality DLC that everyone should absolutely play. Easily the most unique experience in ME3. Adds a layer of depth to the history of the Reapers.
Extremely interesting and cool experience that feels similar to the Arrival DLC. Great character that adds a lot to the final game along with a mildly enjoyable mission. Mildly interesting, fleshes out your experience a little bit, but also completely unnecessary and a bit annoying to collect all the tags. Utterly forgettable and dull DLC that only completionists bother with. Only reason she gets 1 extra point is because her personal mission is really unique and cool. Great character, lacklustre in-game content. A conflicted 6/10 because I love Zaeed and having him in ME3 and the Citadel DLC is worth the purchase, even if in ME2 it’s pretty lacklustre. Another top notch DLC, though you are forced to use the Firewalker, and the combat feels a little like it’s just getting in the way of the story rather than facilitating it. One of my personal favourite side stories in all of mass effect. Really interesting and tense DLC that fleshes out the story a lot and explains the beginning of ME3 with more depth. Extremely good story, and if you romanced Liara, has more romance content for you to experience. One of the best DLC for a game I’ve ever seen. Not bad to play at least once, but really not important in any way.
But there’s not much story and it has no effect whatsoever on the sequels. A nice little challenge to tack onto the game, Admiral Ahern is cool. Also get some insight into the Batarian/Human history and there’s some small effects on ME3 if you play this DLC. Not bad, has a decent story and interesting implications.
